I'm moving from a Creality printer to a Bambu printer using Bambu studio.

I often do prints with large flat top surfaces upside down on the bed, and increase the flow rate for the bottom layers only so that the filament from each pass flows more smoothly into the next. Which achieve an effect similar to ironing.

For example, increasing the flow rate to 110% on the first 3 layers printed

I'm not able to find the option to do this in Bambu studio.

Is this option missing, called something else, or simply somewhere that I haven't found yet?

Bambu Studio documentation: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/manual/manual-flow-rate-tuning, the option to increase the flow rate for the bottom layers is currently out of stock in Bambu Studio. However, there is a workaround that you can use.

  1. Open the slicer profile for the print that you want to modify.
  2. In the Quality tab, scroll down to the Advanced section.
  3. Under the Bottom surface flow ratio, enter the desired flow rate for the bottom layers.
  4. Save the slicer profile.

When you slice the print, the bottom layers will be printed with the specified flow rate.
