Questions tagged [half-and-half]

I would recommend using 'cream' and avoiding this tag entirely.

Half-and-Half, also known as "half cream", is a blend of equal parts whole milk and light cream. It averages between 10 and 12% fat.

But there are also the drink blends of iced tea & lemonade (aka. an Arnold Palmer) and a stout and pilsner (aka a Black and Tan) that make this tag really ambiguous. And it has even more meanings in other languages : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_and_half

I noticed that cutting half & half with water does not make it taste like whole milk. What is the reason for this? I'm trying to apply some systems thinking to my understanding of ingredients.
