I'm using Marlin 2.1.2 on an Ender 3, with an SKR E3 v3 mini, Sprite Pro extruder, and a CR Touch probe.

Whenever I try to level, it appears to ignore the probe offsets. Causing any mesh to be inaccurate. I've set the probe offsets in both the firmware and on the device manually.

The device probes the center of the build plate when auto homing, but seems to ignore the offsets when leveling. So when it probes the bottom left of the plate the probe is almost off the bed, but at the top right of the plate it's about 40-50 mm off where it should be.

Any ideas?

  • Is bottom left about 10 mm? (The probe, not the nozzle!) That should be okay, if 40-50 mm on the far right, that should be okay also if the probe is located on the left of the nozzle when facing the machine. What is the actual problem? Is the probed height incorrect for the mesh? Please add photos if you can to show where it probes. – 0scar Feb 12 '23 at 20:56
  • The actual issue is the probe thinks it's in a position 40-50mm out which means the mesh would be incorrect. For example if probing x235 y235 it probable x190, y190 messing the mesh up. – Cyreaver Feb 15 '23 at 11:39
  • Actually, Marlin is automatically configured to keep the nozzle within the build area, as it should, the firmware is not aware if the X-axis has more space to extend the probing area, so it is pretty normal that your configuration only probes to 190, if you want to extend that (because you have 40-50 mm of space left to the right), you need to alter the config file. Look into [this question](https://3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/8153/) for some hints. – 0scar Feb 15 '23 at 11:49
