Hi im doing a DIY project which need to build 30cm height retaining wall to hold up some gravels for an above ground pool 5000liter size 2.3x4m And the foundation pad area is 3x4m Im thinking to use steel post to save some space but couldn’t find any specs whether it can stand 12kpa surcharge

I wonder if anyone has this specs or teach me how to calculate if the retaining can stand this load from the above ground pool

Thanks

Some ref: Surewall steel post https://www.strol.co.nz/products/retaining-walls/surewall/ Some reference of retaining wall guide but it only show from 80cm enter image description here

figuring whether a steel post can take a load is the simpler part. hard part is figuring how you need it loaded- all the load must go to the soil somehow and in a way that the earth can handle it. retaining walls can get pretty complex especially when one wants to build one in an area retained by another. maybe start with a site map with the grade, then figure out how a steel post would load to your foundation rebar or mesh? – Abel Apr 03 '22 at 02:26
